For a good boat trip across St Austell Bay, take the ferry to Mevagissey, best on a calm day!

Take the passenger ferry to Polruan and follow the coast path until you reach our namesake, Lantic Bay.

Fowey's deep water port plays host to a number of visiting cruise ships each year

Ferryside, one of Daphne du Maurier's homes in the area that inspired so much of her writing. Regular visitors will agree with her words, "I must get down to Fowey. Fowey would be my salvation". 

From the riverside pubs, cafes and restaurants you can look out over the busy harbour, home to small boat moorings including those for the unique Fowey River and Troy class sailing dinghies.

One of the best ways to see Fowey and the surrounding coastline is from the water. Whether by yacht, RIB, kayak, sailing dinghy or just a guided tour, it is well worth getting afloat!

One of the highlights of Regatta week is the display by the Red Arrows over the estuary, not to be missed!

A few miles up river the small village of Lerryn, take a boat trip or hire a kayak to explore the upper reaches of the Estuary.
